Dr. Obaid graduated from the Damascus University Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at Mercy Hospital through the University of Illinois and fellowship in Cardiology at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois through Loyola University.

Dr. Obaid is certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular disease. Specialties include balloon angioplasty, circulation disease of the legs and diseases of the neck carotid arteries. His organizational memberships include:
